October 19, 1948 — April 17, 2016

Ronnie L. Picotte, Sr. (great-grandson of Chief Standing Bear), age 67, of Green Bay, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016 after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. He was born at home, October 19, 1948 in Marty, SD, son of late Jasper and Helen (Larvie) Picotte.

Ronnie is survived by his wife of 45 years, Kerry; 5 children: Tammy, Ronnie, Jr. (Jenny), Waylon, Sr., Carly and Kristin; 19 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; sisters, Beverly and Barbie and many, many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Douglas, Alfred and Raymond; 2 nephews Jack and Jesse Guyton ; a niece Desiree and a special grandson, Terrell.
Visitation will be held at 1066 LIME KILN RD., Green Bay on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 beginning at 10 AM. There will also be a memorial service held at the Ponca Agency building April 21, 2016 Interment will be in Ponca Tribal Cemetery, Niobrara, NE.

Ronnie's family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at St. Mary's Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion during Ron's final days.
