Ronald Charles Schaut, 85, died Wednesday, December 13, 2023, of kidney failure. He was born June 24, 1938 in Green Bay to Milton and Ardella (Charles) Schaut.
Ron graduated from East High School, Class of 1956. On May 20, 1961, he married Mary Larsen and was blessed with 3 wonderful daughters: Kristina, Barbara and Bonnie. Ron was employed in the Parts Department at Bark River Culvert and Equipment for 34 years and then at Aring Equipment for 8 years, retiring in 2005.
He played dartball in leagues for 52 years and umpired softball for almost 40 years. He enjoyed many years of family camping with the Packerland Camping Club and was very active at Grace Lutheran Church as a Youth Sponsor, board member and usher.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Allen. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary; 3 daughters: Kristina (David Skove) Schaut, Barbara Sayen and Bonnie (John) Maedke; grandchildren: Corey (Sharon) Rietveld, Sydney (Eric) Nasgovitz, Hannah (Dalton) Sayen, Alex Sayen and Simon Maedke; great-granddaughter, Lana Rietveld and great-grandsons, Carter and Jacob Ronald Nasgovitz.
A service celebrating Ron's life will take place at Newcomer Funeral Home (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, WI), Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 2 PM.
