Ronald Lee "Ronnie" Kempka, age 71, of Suring, passed away on Sunday, March 1st, 2020 with family and friends by his side after a short battle with cancer. Ronnie was born on June 5th, 1948 to the late William and Laura (Borkowski) Kempka of Coleman.
Ronnie served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Coleman Legion Post 280. On June 5th, 1969, Ronald married Rose Marie Tachick. After 38 years, he retired from Graetz Manufacturing in Pound.
Ronnie was the happiest when he was fishing. He never left home without a fishing pole in his truck. He always knew what lake the fish were biting on. He had a special place in his heart for Long Lake. Ronnie enjoyed teaching his grandkids how to fish.
Ronnie is survived by his wife of 50 years, RoseMarie; two children: Ronald Jr. and Wade (Carrie) Kempka; three grandchildren: Kaleb, Kroix and Kyler Kempka and siblings: Richard (Sue) Kempka, Pat (John) Jacob. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Special friends: Ray Heisel, Tom Gauthier and all who came to visit him at home.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gerald.
A celebration of life will be held for Ronnie on Saturday, March 7th, 2020 at Romy's Holiday Inn Kelly Lake (9600 County Rd. G Suring, WI) from 10 am until the memorial service at 12:30 pm with full military honors to follow.
