Ronald D. Peer, age 66, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully at his home after a long illness, Friday, February 5, 2016, with his loving wife by his side. Ron was born February 12, 1949 in Green Bay, son of the late Benedict "Benny" and Evelyn (Micke) Peer.
Ronald married Mary Kujawa, November 11, 1983 and together they shared 31 loving years of marriage. Ron was employed at Procter & Gamble for 35 years. He enjoyed collecting Oldsmobile cars and collectibles and had a love for showing dogs. Ron served his country in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. Ron belonged to the IDMR faith.
Ron is survived by his loving and caring wife of 31 years, Mary (Kujawa) Peer; his children, Tammy (Gene) Coldwell of NY and William (Jennifer) Owen of CT; his step-children: Patricia Pelishek of Seymour, Diane Knorr of Green Bay, Allan Vanden Eng of Crivitz, Edward (Linda) Vanden Eng and Roger Vanden Eng, both of Green Bay; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his mother, Evelyn Peer; his siblings: Nancy (Gary) Blavat of Green Bay, Thomas (Pat) of Shawano, David (Verna) of Luxemburg, Robert of New Denmark, Benedict, Jr. (Lynne) of Town of Eaton and Gregory Peer of Denmark; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Benedict "Benny" Peer; brother, Michael Peer and grandson, Kyle Pelishek.
Friends may call at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay), Sunday, February 14, 2016 from 3 to 5:45 PM. A funeral service will follow at 6PM.
The family would like to thank special caregiver, Al Vanden Eng, Nurse Barb McDonald, and Aide Krystal Clark for all their care and concern shown to Ron & his family. Ron's kids want to express their gratitude to their mother for the wonderful care she provided to Ron.
