Rogers Lee King Sr.

Rogers L. King Sr. passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Bellin Hospital. He was born in Chicago, IL on November 12, 1970 the son of Rogers (Lillie) Mordica and Bennie (Robert King) Burks. He was united in marriage to JoAnn Heath on February 14, 2005 in Green Bay.

Rogers enjoyed hosting cookouts, smoking cigars, watching the Green Bay Packers, and running his mouth with friends and family. He always told some of the most colorful stories and always had a joke to tell. Rogers' mission was to always bring a smile to all that knew him. His love for life was as big and loud as his laughter and personality which, will be truly missed but his memory will be lived on through his loved ones.

Rogers is survived by his wife of 18 years, JoAnn; six children: Rogers King Jr., Shanta (Terrance) Jackson, Karen (Donovan) Kirk, Shawn Heath, Jordan Crowe, and Louis (Sarah) Brice; three grandchildren: Antonio King, Kianna King, and Jett Brice; parents, maternal grandmother, Dorothy Hobson, seven siblings: Quanda Mordica, Chauncey (Nyah) King, Fonzell (Siobhan) King, Tremayne (Julie) Worsham, Erick Wright, Erica Wright, and Jessica King; brothers and sister-in-law: Dustin Heath, Lee Martin, Gary (Leah) Feather, and Cherish Heath; further survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. Also a Special Brother Will Hamilton. He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert King Jr. and his father, Robert "Rocky" King Sr.; grandparents: Lepell Watkins, Benjamin Hobson, Margaret Brooks, and Matthew (Viola) Mordica.

Friends and family may visit at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, Receptions, 340 S. Monroe Ave. on Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm with a funeral service at 3:00 pm. Please wear either beige and brown or red and black in honor of Rogers.
