Roger L. Nuthals Sr., age 75, of Howard, passed away peacefully, Monday, April 30, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 23, 1942 in Green Bay, son of the late Lawrence and Ruth (Van Caster) Nuthals.
Roger graduated from Green Bay West High School, Class of 1962. He married Carol White, January 18, 1964 and they shared 54 loving years of marriage and were blessed with 2 sons.
Roger was an avid outdoorsman and hunter. He was an award winning Homing Pigeon Racer, which he passed on to his son and later to his grandchildren. He was a proud member of the Green Bay and Northside Racing Pigeon Club for over 50 years. Roger also raced stock cars, a hobby that he passed on to both of his sons. Roger will be remembered as a loving husband, proud father and grandfather.
Roger is survived by his wife, Carol; his 2 sons, Roger "Jake" Nuthals Jr. and Kevin (Stephanie) Nuthals; his 2 grandchildren, Brittney and Cooper; a sister, Marie (Ron) Legois; a brother, Ron (Mary) Nuthals; 2 sisters-in-law, Mona Nuthals and Florence White and a brother-in-law, Gene White. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence "Newt" Nuthals; 2 brothers-in-law, Robert White Sr. and James White Sr; and sister-in-law, Faye Petasek.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer-Green Bay Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay), Sunday, May 13, 2018 from 2 to 4 PM. A memorial service will follow at 4 PM.
