Roger Marin

January 1, 1953 — November 21, 2024

Roger M. Marin, 71, of Green Bay, passed away on November 21, 2024 at Allouez Parkside Village. He was born on January 1, 1953 to Wallace and Jacqueline (Herlache) Marin in Sturgeon Bay. Roger graduated from Green Bay West in 1971. 

Roger worked at Green Bay Dressed Beef known now as American Foods for 30 years. He later worked for Saputo and retired after being with them for 10 years. Roger loved the outdoors, hunting, field trialing dogs, and racing homing pigeons. In his spare time, Roger enjoyed doing taxidermy. Some of the organizations that he was a part of were: The Green Bay Pointing Dog Club, Green Bay and Northside Racing Pigeon Club, and Green Bay Chapter of Ruffed Grouse Society. 

Roger is survived by his two sons: Adam (Lori) Marin and Ryan (Amanda) Marin; three grandchildren: Addison, Caleb, and Reed; siblings: Sue Johnson, Steve (Paulette) Marin, Linda (Lonnie) Whiting, and Jean (Keith) Westergaard, and one sister-in-law, Georgie Marin; further survived by nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Richard and Michael Marin, brother-in-law, Milton Johnson.

Visitation will be held Monday, December 2, 2024, from 1:00 pm until 3:30 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 340 S. Monroe Ave Green Bay, with a memorial service to follow at 3:30 pm. 

The family would like to extend a thank you to Unity Hospice especially Molly, Brianna, Nikki, Nancy, and Heather, for all the wonderful care, comfort and support that was given to Roger and the family. Also, a thank you to Cathy, her attentiveness and friendship was a gift to Roger.
