Roger W. Denil

Roger W. Denil, age 81, a lifelong resident of Green Bay, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2024 at Froedtert Memorial Hospital. He was born in Green Bay, February 26, 1943, son of the late Arthur and Sylvia (Boehm) Denil and was a graduate of Premontre High School, Class of 1961.

After graduation, Roger served in the Army National Guard. He attended NWTC and studied business. Roger spent his whole career as a carpet installer at the White Store and later at Macco's, retiring after many years of dedicated service. Roger married Carla Jean Hansen, June 30, 1979 and they shared 44 years of marriage, lovingly joining their families. 

Roger was a gifted handyman and loved spending time putzing and tinkering on any projects for himself or others. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and spending time at his cottage on Gilas Lake. You could often find him enjoying a Manhattan while watching his favorite sports teams, especially the Brewers and Packers. He was a proud grandpa and loved attending his grandkids' activities and sporting events and helping them with their building projects.

Roger is survived by his wife, Carla; his children: Scott (Jennifer) Denil, Michele (Dan) Hunt and Michael (Stacey) Denil; 3 grandchildren: Madison, Maxx and McKenna and a sister, Marilyn (Phil) DeGreef. He is further survived by a niece and nephews and many close friends.

Visitation will be held at St. Bernard Parish (2040 Hillside Ln., Green Bay, WI), Thursday, November 21, 2024 from 9 to 11 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 AM. To leave a message of condolence for the family, please visit www.NewcomerGreenBay.com.
