Rodney John "Elvis" Richards, age 79, of Toulon, Illinois (formerly of Kewaunee, WI), passed away peacefully April 30th, 2023 at Algoma Long-Term Nursing Home.
He was born April 20th, 1944 in Peoria, Illinois, son of the late John and Iona (Geach) Richards. He was a graduate of Roosevelt Military Academy.
He enjoyed being a shoe salesman. He had his own Richards and Associates Inventory Company. While living in Florida, he owned Bell Protective Security Services. Later years he had a karaoke business (Judy and Company) where he was the "Elvis" Tribute Artist.
Surviving are his five children, Todd Adkins of Morton, IL, Pete (Stephanie) Adkins of Creve Coeur, IL, Jennifer (Terry) Lemery of Kewaunee, WI, John Richards II and Evin Nicole Webb (significant other) of Kewaunee, WI, Adrienne Wallace and Jeremy Ledvina (significant other) of Casco, WI; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister Mary (Larry) Meaker.
He enjoyed karaoke, going to his grandchildrens' sporting events and being with family and friends.
An "Elvis" celebration of Rodneys' life will be held at Newcomer Green Bay Chapel, 340 S. Monroe Avenue in Green Bay, Wisconsin on Friday, May 5th from 10:00 a.m. to noon with a memorial service taking place at noon.
Rodney's family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Algoma Long-Term Nursing Home, Bellin Hospital and Unity Hospice for their excellent care and compassion.
Interment will be in Toulon, Illinois on June 20, 2023. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners.
