Robert Carlton Weich

July 26, 1931 — May 19, 2018

Robert "Bob" Carlton Weich Sr., age 86, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully, Saturday, May 19, 2018 at his home, surrounded by family. He was born July 26, 1931 in Massillon, OH, the only child of the late Eugene and Mildred (Robinson) Weich.

Robert grew up in the Massillon area and graduated from Washington High School where he played trumpet in the school band. He met his future wife, Patsy, in high school and they were married in 1951. Bob enlisted in the US Navy and served during the Korean Conflict on the USS Sicily. Bob's employment brought the family to Green Bay in 1958 where they raised their children: Robert Jr., Leslie, John and Jennifer. Bob and Patsy were a great team and ran several successful business ventures together.

During his free time he enjoyed playing chess and listening to music. While residing in Door County, Patsy and Bob enjoyed entertaining family and friends and attending numerous events in the area. Bob was a great family man who will be remembered for his gentle ways, love of family and their numerous pets throughout the years.

Bob leaves behind his loving wife of 66 years, Patsy; 3 children: Leslie (Michael) Prange, John Weich and Jennifer Weich; 7 grandchildren: Ashley Prange, Alicia (Trey Sirianni) Weich, Maxwell Prange, R.C. Weich, Marisa Weich, Lewis Weich and Isabella Weich; 2 great-grandchildren, Estella and Alma; daughter-in-law, Debra Kivisto Weich and lifetime friends, Stewart and Liz Morris.

He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Carlton Weich II; his beloved sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Carmelita and Ivan Smith; sister-in-law, Betty Kelly and brother-in-law, Richard Noggle.

Visitation will be held at Newcomer-Green Bay Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay), Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 9:30 to 11 AM. A memorial service will follow at 11 AM with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers, memorials directed to local animal welfare charities in Bob's name are appreciated.

Bob's family would like to extend a very special thank you to Unity Hospice for their loving care and support for Bob and his family.
