Robert W. Delveaux Sr.

Robert W. Delveaux Sr., 74, Green Bay, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with Leukemia surrounded by his loving family on Father's Day, Sunday, June 16, 2013. He was born May 5, 1939, in Oconto Falls, WI, to the late Harold and Cecelia (Powell) Delveaux. Upon graduating from Green Bay East High School, Robert joined the United States Air Force for six years. After being honorably discharged, he completed a four year sheet metal apprentice program at NWTC. Robert retired from Tweet/Garot Mechanical as a journeyman sheet metal mechanic in 1999. He also earned his real estate brokers license from NWTC and sold real estate for many years. Robert married Linnea Gustafson on August 1, 1971, in Kewaunee.

He enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, and traveling, especially going on cruises with his wife, Linnea. Robert was also a fan of his grandchildren's sporting events. He was known for spoiling his grandchildren and his 4-legged best friend, Carmen.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linnea; four children: Villina (Steve) Georgel, Robert Jr. (Pamela) Delveaux, Jody (Cory) Delwiche, and Jesse (Emmie) Delveaux; grandchildren: Steve (Jessie), Craig (Tyler), Michelle (Joe), and Nicole (Mike); Robert III, Corey, and Preston; Christopher, John, Jose, and Randy; and Justin and Mitchell; fifteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Lucy (Dan) Coppens; three brothers, Harold (Suzanne), Frank, and Leonard (Dorleen); sisters-in-law, Jenny Delveaux and Sharon (Steve) Olson; one brother-in-law, David (Krissy) Gustafson; and many nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; son, Randy; brother, Alphonse; brothers-in-law, Leonard Coppens and Dale Gustafson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Arthur and Dorcas Gustafson.

Family and friends may call Friday, June 21, 2013, at St. Louis Catholic Church, N8726 County Line Rd., Luxemburg, from 3:00pm until 6:00pm. A memorial service will be celebrated at the church on Friday at 6:00pm with Rev. John Van Deuren officiating. Military honors will follow the service.

Robert's family would like to thank Dr. Tahsildar and his staff at the Bellin Cancer Center, Dr. Kroll at the VA Hospital in Milwaukee, the nursing staff on fourth floor at Bellin Hospital, and Father John Van Deuren and Pastoral Leader, Pat Ratajczak at St. Louis Catholic Church, for all of the compassion and support given to him and his family.
