Robert David Peguero, 38, beloved son, brother, and father passed away peacefully at home in Green Bay on June 14, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. Robert was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin on February 7, 1983 to Roberto and Yvette Peguero. He graduated from Southwest High School in 2001 and worked various jobs before finding a passion for working with people with disabilities. His kindness, gentle heart, and compassion were virtues that allowed him to connect with people in both his professional and personal life. Robert's greatest joy was being a father to his daughter Mia, and his greatest wish was to have more time to spend with her. Robert had a passion for the outdoors, video games, movies, and football. He inherited his love of the Dallas Cowboys from his father and enjoyed the in-house rivalry with his siblings.
Robert is survived by his parents, Roberto and Yvette (Long) Peguero, daughter Mia Peguero, brother Christopher (Anthony Potter) Peguero, sister Adriana (Jonathan Clinkscale) Peguero, brother Ricardo (Melissa) Peguero, and brother Gerardo Peguero. Also survived by Grandmothers Adela Peguero and Yvonne Waukau, Aunts Maria de Jesus Rodriguez, Porfiria Gutierrez, Lynette (Richard) Valentine, and Uncle Russell (Tara) Long. Robert is also survived by his nieces and nephews Nadia, Adela, Alexander and Mateo, whom he took particular joy in spending time with, and his Texas cousins Patricia, Diana, Armando, Leonardo, Jessica, and Monica, whom he loved to travel to visit. Robert is also survived by cousins Connie, Leanna, Chelsea, Clint, Cole, and Camryn, many close friends, and his cat Milo, who was a great comfort to him.
Robert was preceded in death by his Grandfathers Leo Long and Lloyd Waukau, Uncle Curtis Long, Aunt Lori Long and cousins Corey Long and Heidi Beavin.
Robert's family wishes to thank Dr. John Charlson at Froedert Cancer Center in Milwaukee and the ThedaCare Cancer Team in Appleton for their kind and compassionate care, and Kelly, Erin and Krystal of Heartland Hospice Care. The family also wishes to extend its heartfelt thanks to the Firekeepers who tended to the ceremonial fire after Robert's passing.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe St. Green Bay, with visitation from 4:00-6:00 p.m. and a service to follow at 6:00 p.m. Robert also wished to have a Celebration of Life, which will be held at a later date. Robert's family kindly requests that any attendants who are not fully vaccinated wear a mask. Masks will be provided.
