Robert E. Naniot, known as Bob to friends and family, passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at his home in Eagle River, Wisconsin, surrounded by loved ones.
Bob was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, son of Elmer and Loreen Naniot, on May 6, 1952. He attended Green Bay West Highschool, where he met his highschool sweetheart, Barbara Jean Rasmussen. The two were married August 12, 1972 in Green Bay, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, beginning a life of love, family and travel. As owner, Bob operated Bob Naniot's Complete Auto Service for 43 years, working closely with family and serving the community with care. Bob was a longtime member of the Moose Lodge, a certified PADI deep-sea diver, and board member of the Headwaters Corvette Club.
During his life, Bob camped and traveled with his family, took motorcycle rides with his wife, scuba dived with his children, and enjoyed lake life on the pontoon. He spent much of his later life with Barb, being "Green Bay Bob" and driving his yellow Corvette around the country with friends of the Headwaters Corvette Club and Corvettes of the Bay, enjoying destinations and experiences throughout the seasons.
Bob enjoyed watching Lawrence Welk, the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers, sitting on the deck watching the pirate ship sail by, singing along to every song on the radio, and enjoying a good fire in his favorite chair. Family will miss his large smile, his teasing sense of humor, and warm hugs. Friends will miss his sense of adventure, willingness to go anywhere for fun, and laughter. Enjoy those cream puffs and chocolate glazed donuts, Bob, you deserve all of them.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Barb, his two sons, Chris (Christy) Naniot and David Naniot, his daughter, Angie (Tim) Ahrens, his brother Roger (Lynn) Naniot, and two grandchildren, Thalia (Kaci) Naniot and Nolan Naniot.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Loreen Naniot.
