Robert N. Duprey, 81, Green Bay, WI passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2013. He was born on May 7, 1932, in De Pere, WI, son of the late Russell and Marcella (Pokorny) Duprey. Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Judith (Rempett) Duprey and one infant daughter Terry Lynn Duprey. Robert and Judy were married on May 29, 1953, and they were married for 55 years. Robert is survived by his four sons and three daughter in-laws, Robert (Dawn) Duprey, Craig (Christine) Duprey, John (Annette) Duprey, and Donald Duprey. Robert is also survived by 13 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren; and three sisters, Louise (Matt) Erickson, Yvonne (Ron) Hager, and Verona Faltynski.
Robert served in the Army during the Korean War where he was stationed in Alaska as Private First Class Regular Army. Robert was honorably discharged on May 6, 1953. Robert also served in the Navy reserves with an honorable discharge on June 22, 1959.
Robert worked as a Paper Maker for 42 years where at the end of his career he served as the Machine Tender on the #14 paper machine at Procter and Gamble. Robert was on the start-up of the paper machine #14 in 1970 and finished his career on this same machine. The people he worked with were considered Robert's extended family. He loved the Green Bay Packers and passed the love of football to the whole family. One of his favorite things to do was gather together with the whole family to watch the football game on Sundays. The most memorable game he attended was with his father and his oldest son Robert John Jr. was the Ice Bowl.
Robert was a Christian man and belonged to Samaritans Outreach where his son, John Duprey is the Pastor; Robert enjoyed attending church and fellowship.
Family and friends may call from 9:00am until 11:00am on Wednesday, November 13th, 2013, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, WI. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
