Robert J. Kuehl, 81, of Ashwaubenon, beloved husband of Carol (Seiler) Kuehl, departed this life peacefully, following a brief illness, on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 surrounded by his family.
Bob was born on March 5, 1937 in Kewaunee, WI son of the late John and Edna (Streu) Kuehl. During his younger years he spent time with Alfred and Sylvia Haasch and was treated like the son they never had. He was a graduate of Kewaunee High School class of 1955. Upon graduation he enlisted in the United States Army. While he was in the Army he worked in communications, serving in France and some time stateside. While serving in the Army he even installed President Eisenhower's telephone while in France. On November 7, 1959 he married Carol in Carnot, WI and they spent over 58 years of marriage together raising four children. Bob obtained his degree in accounting from NWTC. He enjoyed his career in accounting within the banking industry.
Bob was an extremely proud father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a true patriot and very proud of having served his country. In his spare time he was an avid hunter, fisherman and spending time teaching his grandchildren about the outdoors. Most importantly he loved to spend time with his family and friends, and known to be one of the most hospitable guys around.
Bob will be missed greatly by his wife, Carol and their four children: Kim (Thomas) McCarrell, Todd (Kim) Kuehl, Amy (Tom) Crossman, and Lori (Dale Larsen) Hanson. Bob also leaves a brother, Arnie (Carol) Kuehl and a sister Judy (Herman) Draeger. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren: Ian, Bryanna, Tanya, Austin, Alyson, Dylan, and Cole along with 3 great grandchildren, Leighton, Nolan, and Emily, with one more great grandson on the way! He is preceded in death by a sister, Carol Pfile.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 20th from 11 AM - 12 PM at Newcomer - Green Bay Chapel, 340 S. Monroe Avenue. A Memorial Service will follow at 12 PM with full military honors. Interment will be private.
