Robert H. Bath, 73, of Green Bay, departed this life on August 11, 2016.
Robert was born on August 15, 1942 in Milwaukee, WI, son of the late Henry and Grace (Kubiak) Bath. He graduated with honors from Cudahy High School, was a member of the Projectors Club and Captain of the Bowling Team. He graduated from UW Madison in 1965 with a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering and was a member of the Society of Student Engineers and also a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. Robert was involved with the Explorer Scouts for many years where he mentored many young men to new careers. He also was a member of the Wisconsin Society of Professional Engineers since 1973. Robert was awarded Wisconsin Professional Engineer of the Year in 1975, 1978, 1984, and 2003. Currently he was the Director of Publicity for the Fox River Valley Chapter of Professional Engineers. He was recruited by Wisconsin Public Service right out of college and spent his entire career there for 38 years. His first position with the company was Supervisor of Lineman. He is the former owner of the Grapevine Lounge on Washington Street in Green Bay where he hosted many shuffleboard and bowling leagues. He was known as a great entertainer at his very own Red Dog Saloon where he hosted many parties. He loved to take his family on vacations all over the U.S.A. and was a very generous and humble man. In his retirement he enjoyed going daily to the Fuzzy's (Score Board) and Buster's for double bubble and to visit his friends.
Robert is survived by his daughter, Cheryl Bath, Daughter-In-Law, Melinda Bath and 5 grandchildren: Steve Bath, Shawn Wolfe, Caitlyn Bath, Alyssa Bath, and Jared Bath in addition to 4 great grandchildren, many friends, and colleagues. He is preceded in death by his son, Jeff Bath and cousin, Karen Zalaski.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 24th from 4 - 7 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay. A funeral service will follow at 7 PM in the funeral home. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
