On February 17, 2025, our hearts were broken when we lost our Rob. He was born April 23, 1964 to the late Wayne and Barb (Wenberg) French. He is now resting in the arms of our Savior.
After attending West De Pere High School, where he was voted "Mr. Nice Guy", he served eight years in the United States Navy. That experience was forever ingrained in his heart. He loved our county fiercely. He stood his ground on his political beliefs and was sure to offend many with this: "Go Trump!" Rob would end every text with a thumbs up emoji and the American flag. He was a true patriot!
Growing up, "Robbie" was a pistol! He always found trouble to get into and kept our parents on their toes, sometimes even on their knees. When he reached high school, he had "the talk" with mom that he no longer wanted to be called Robbie. He was too old for that and wanted to be called Rob. It was kind of funny because she would occasionally accidentally call him Robbie and he would still respond.
He had a smile and a personality that if you met him, you would never forget him. He had a gift for telling jokes and stories and he had an incredible memory.
In February 2009, Rob welcomed his only daughter, Robbi, into this world. He was so excited that he was skipping down the hospital hallway. She always had him wrapped around her little finger.
Rob loved deer hunting and hosted many hunting parties at his place, which he named Possum Lodge. He was excited that he go to hunt with his daughter, Robbi, this past season and she got her first buck! He sure was proud of her!
Rob also loved his Harley and always looked forward to rides with his friends to Sturgis or anywhere across the country. He was a free spirit when it came to putting on his bandana and hitting the road.
He also had a love for collecting antiques or just sentimental things. He had quite the knack for decorating with these items and took joy in being surrounded by history.
Rob placed an extraordinary value on friendships and his relationship with his family. He would give the shirt off his back for you. He even went as far as drssing up as Mickey Mouse as a surprise for his niece's wedding just so she could dance with Mickey Mouse to "When You Wish Upon a Star."
Rob is survived by his daughter, Robbi Lee; his sisters: Debbie Wauters, Brenda Reinhard, Wendy (Eric) August, nieces and nephews: Jody (Chad) Barrette, Time (Dorothy) Hockers, Jaime Rosik, Scott (Lisa Moderson) Rosik, Jonny (Mackenzie) August, Melanie (Mathias) Moe, Shane (Morgan) Reinhard, Kristy (Shane Bratz) Schafer and Chad (Melanie) Reinhard. He is also survived by his sweet little dog, Bella, who was right there with him until the end.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Barb French and brothers-in-law, Tom Wauters and Michael Reinhard.
