Rita M. Derginer, age 72, of Green Bay, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016 surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born June 23, 1943 in Luxemburg, WI, daughter of the late Albert and Mildred (Conard) Delcore and graduated from Luxemburg High School in 1961.
Rita married Robert "Bob" J. Derginer, August 17, 1963 and together they shared 52 loving years of marriage and were blessed with 3 sons and a daughter. She was an active member of St. Matthew Parish who volunteered on many of the church committees. Her faith was very dear to her heart.
Rita loved family, friends and fun. She was never afraid to speak her mind or share her thoughts. She was a generous woman who enjoyed camping, shopping, traveling (especially to Branson and Door County), Kwik Trip coffee and an occasional old fashioned. She also knew her way around the kitchen (chili was her specialty.) Rita will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She was a festive person who loved the holidays and they will never be the same without her.
Rita is survived by her faithful husband, Bob; 4 children: Rick, Rodney and Ryan Derginer and Roxanne (Ted) Egge; 9 grandchildren: Amanda, Bobby, Teddy, Thomas, Samantha, Jessica, Cody, Jenny and Cayden; 4 great-grandchildren: Jasmine, Elijah, Alisha and Sarenity; 4 sisters: Marina (the late Lloyd) Haen, Eloise (Ervin) Gilson, Marlene (the late Don) Rank and Pat Dart; brother-in-law, Frank (Mary) Derginer and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her in-laws, Frank and Lois Derginer.
Friends and relatives may call at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, (340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay), Sunday, April 10, 2016 from 4 to 6:45 PM. A prayer service will follow at 7 PM. Visitation will continue at ST. MATTHEW PARISH (130 St. Matthews St., Green Bay), Monday, April 11, 2016 from 9:30 to 10:15 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM with Fr.
