Rita B. Schumacher

Rita B. Schumacher, age 88, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 30, 2015. She was born in Green Bay, WI on March 30, 1927, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Carolina (Hermes) Schumacher.

She attended local schools, and went on to work as a customer service manager for Sears Roebuck & Company for over 25 years. She also worked as a realtor for Century 21 for over 20 years.

Rita was a longtime and active member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She was deeply religious and continuously supported the church in any way she could. Rita had a great love for animals, especially cardinals and dogs and going to her trailer in Lakewood, WI. She enjoyed playing bridge and reading, gardening, fishing and travel. Rita was very social and loved spending time with her nieces and nephews, especially when they were younger and she would take them on "adventures" all over the state. And of course, Rita was an avid Green Bay Packers fan beginning at a very young age. She will be missed.

Rita is survived many nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers John, Robert, Richard and Ben Schumacher and a sister, Jean Hansen.

Friends and relatives may call on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 from 9:30 to 10:45 AM at ST. JOHN THE EVANGELSIT CATHOLIC CHURCH (413 St. John Street, Green Bay). A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 AM. Interment will be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
