Father & Son, Ricky Lee Suggs, 52 & Dustin Lee Suggs, 29 both of Green Bay passed away as a result of complications due to COVID 19.
Ricky was born on March 8, 1969 in Rockingham, NC son of the late William and Judy (Turnage) Suggs. He was a graduate of Richmond Senior High School Class of 1987. Ricky enlisted in the U.S. Army as an Infantryman where he obtained the rank of Staff Sergeant. While in the service and stationed by Fort Polk, LA he met Julie Paddock and they were later married on August 4, 1990 in Tacoma, WA. They began their family and raised their two sons, Dustin and Tyler. Ricky was deployed to Iraq, as a full time reservist from the 753rd Quartermaster Company. While in the service he was awarded the Army Commendation Medal (3 Times) and the Army Achievement Medal (8 Times) and the Good Conduct Medal (3 Times). After his retirement from the Army he served as a Reservist and worked as a General Contractor for the 88th at Fort McCoy. Ricky was a true believer in the "Big Foot", and a collector of Godzilla Memorabilia. He was passionate about movies and music. Ricky was loved by all who knew him, he was a wonderful Husband, Father, Brother, and friend to all.
Dustin was born on March 5, 1992 in Fort Polk, LA son of Julie (Paddock) Suggs and the late Ricky Lee Suggs. He was a 2010 graduate from Ashwaubenon High School. He was employed at Winona Foods as a Material Handler. Dustin loved his job and the many friends he made there. He was the proud loving father of Brayden who was born in 2016. Dustin was an avid outdoorsman and loved animals, frogs, and fishing. All who met him will always remember him as having a heart of gold. If you were a friend of Dustin's, you were a friend for life. Dustin would do anything for you, and was definitely his father's son.
To all who knew both or either of them, they know the world has lost two special souls. Their family will continue to hold them in their hearts until they are all together again.
Ricky and Dustin are survived by Julie their beloved wife and mother, and Tyler a beloved Son and Brother, and Brayden a beloved Son and Grandson. They also leave sisters and aunts: Billie (Alvy) Miller, Twin Sister: Vickie (Clayton) Whitson, and Melinda (Jim) Bozeman, along with brother-in-laws and uncles, Randy (Bev) Paddock and Doug Paddock. They leave their extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 1st from 12 PM - 2 PM at Newcomer - Green Bay Chapel. A memorial service will follow at 2 PM in the funeral home with Military Honors to follow for Ricky. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are encouraged.
