Rick Schnese

Rick Louis Schnese, age 73, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully, Thursday, January 9, 2025, at the Meng Residence in De Pere. He was born September 18, 1951 in Shawano, WI, son of the late Louis C. and June M. (Jahnke) Schnese and was a graduate of Shawano High School, Class of 1969.

Rick graduated from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College with a degree in Sales & Marketing. He held several different sales positions, the last 20 years until retirement at Orkin Pest Control. On May 12, 1973, Rick was united in marriage to Barb Riesenberg at St. James Lutheran Church, Shawano, WI. They were married 51 years and lived in Suamico, WI. Rick loved sports and was a die-hard fan of the Brewers and Packers. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, ready smile and his ability to talk to anyone.

Rick is survived by his wife, Barb; sons, Andrew and Ryan; family Bichon, Dickens, all from Green Bay. He is further survived by his 3 sisters: Barbara (Charles) Hartwig, Green Bay, WI, Patti (Randy) Wolfe, Sewell, NJ and Jayne, Shawano, WI. He is also survived by brothers-in-law, Gary (Barb) Riesenberg, Shawano, WI and Tom (Terry) Riesenberg, Green Bay, WI; sisters-in-law, Diane Mizak, Philadelphia, PA and Anne Riesenberg, Grafton, WI; many nieces, nephews and their children.

He was preceded in death by his infant son, Scott Michael; his parents, Louis and June Schnese and parents-in-law, Earl and Mavis Riesenberg.

Visitation will be held at Christ the King Lutheran Church (1700 Cardinal Ln., Green Bay, WI), Sunday, January 19, 2025 from 2:30 to 3:30 pm. A memorial service will follow at 3:30 PM. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials directed to Christ the King Lutheran Church in Rick's name are appreciated.
