Richard "Dick" Voelker, age 82, passed away on June 3, 2023 with his family by his side. He was born on June 18, 1940 the son of the late George and Gertrude (Wolverton) Voelker. After graduating high school he enlisted into the Army. Dick was a jokester and enjoyed golfing with his family. He was a cat lover and was known to acquire the many strays in the neighborhood. He would watch the Packer games with his family, and the grandchildren loved to place bets with the playoff games.
Dick is survived by his wife, Cheryl, five children: Cindy (Derek) Henning, Brian (Elizabeth) Voelker, Amy (Jay) Eggert, Tammy (Eric) Gegare, and Tony (Rachael Lang) Gore; 16 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, three siblings: Lorna Converse, Alan (Marge) Voelker Sr., and Wayne (Mary) Voelker, and sisters-in-law, Linda Voelker, Lyn Tischer; he is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Lyle, 6 siblings, one nephew, Mike, 3 brothers-in-law, and one sister-in-law.
Friends and family may visit at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions, 340 S. Monroe Ave on Friday, June 9, 2023 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm with a memorial service to follow at 3:00 pm ending with military honors.
