Richard R. "Dick" Phillips, Sergeant Major (Ret.) USMC, age 81, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2018, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's.
He was born on July 11, 1936, in Green Bay, to the late Norbert & Pearl Phillips.
Dick was a Teamster, truck driver, a Marine and in his spare time he enjoyed spending time with family & friends at his cottage in Crooked Lake.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Ann (Bushmaker) Phillips; children, Todd (Holly) Phillips, Kurt (Maureen) Phillips, Michelle (Faisal) Yousuf and Scott Phillips; nine grandchildren, Dalton, Drake, Mason, Gabriel, Thomas, Lucy, Maliha, Amani and Ameen; siblings, Carol DeMoulin, Norbert Phillips, Beverly Powers, Edward Phillips, Ronald Phillips, JoAnn Stelmach, Lloyd Phillips and Dale Phillips; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by siblings, Otis Phillips and Sandra Clark.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday, January 12, 2018, at Newcomer - Green Bay Chapel, 340 S. Monroe Ave. A parish prayer service will conclude the visitation at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Saturday, January 13, 2018, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at St. Agnes Parish, 1484 9th Street Green Bay. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Saturday with Rev. Patrick Beno officiating. Entombment will be at Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
