Richard "Dick" Naud, 79, of Green Bay, beloved husband of Bette (Dittmer) Naud, departed this life peacefully, on December 31, 2018 at Bellin Health Hospital, surrounded by his family.
Richard was born on November 6, 1939 in Green Bay, son of the late Alex and Laura (Vanderperren) Naud. He was a 1957 graduate of Green Bay East High School where he played football, hockey, and sang in the Chorus. On June 18, 1966 he married Bette and they spent 52 years of marriage together, raising their two children. He retired after 35 years of service with National Can Company. He played softball with several friends he grew up with in Duck Creek, and enjoyed the September reunions over the past decade. He also belonged to a bowling league, was an avid outdoorsman, and he loved spending time at their cabin up north. He enjoyed duck hunting, deer hunting and especially fishing. Richard will be remembered as an extremely patient man who genuinely loved children, dogs, and feeding the birds. He was an excellent father and friend; anyone who needed help could count on Richard. He was always busy and was known as a "jack of all trades" and could fix most anything.
He is survived by his wife, Bette and their two children: David (Lisa) Naud, and Missy (Doug Larkin) Naud, along with a sister, Margie Hock. Richard also leaves grandchildren: Casey and Amani Larkin, Sarah (Rob) Shirley, Ransom (Chelsi) McCloud, Patsy (Mike) Kennedy, and Lance (Kristen) McCloud along with 14 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a brother, Bernard Naud, and a sister, Audrey Aures.
At Richard's request a small private memorial gathering was held. Newcomer - Green Bay Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements. Memorial contributions in Richard's name may be made to the Wisconsin Humane Society Green Bay Campus.
