Richard H. Maes

Richard H. "Dick" Maes, age 89, of Peoria, AZ, formerly of Green Bay, passed away peacefully, Thursday, January 26, 2023 at Bellin Hospital. He was born April 15, 1933 in Green Bay, son of the late Gordon and Phyllis (Heintz) Maes and was a graduate of Catholic Central High School.
He continued his education at St. Norbert College, earning his Bachelor's Degree in Business. After earning his college degree, Dick proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Dick married Roberta "Bobbi" Busch and they shared "58 years and 8 days" of marriage before her passing in 2021. Dick was employed as a purchasing agent with UW-Green Bay. Dick and Bobbi then moved to Arizona where he was a purchasing agent for City of Glendale until his retirement.
Dick was known to his entire family as "Dicky Do." He enjoyed Polka music, walking and cheering on the Packers.
Richard is survived by 2 brothers, Don (Nanci) Maes and Steve (Mary) Maes, numerous nieces nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Kent (Katie) Maes and a sister, Nancy (Jim) Puissant.
A joint celebration of Dick and Bobbi's lives will be held at Newcomer-Green Bay Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay), Tuesday, March 21, 2023 from 4 to 6 PM. A memorial service will follow at 6 PM with full military honors. Burial will be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
