Richard Anthony Charniak, age 67, a lifelong resident of Green Bay, passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at his home, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born December 9, 1953 in Green Bay, son of the late Robert and Eljean (Bultman) Charniak.
Richard and his parents were avid bowlers who enjoyed bowling multiple times each week. He bowled quite a few 300 games. Rick was a blackjack dealer at Oneida Casino for 28 years. This was the perfect job for Rick because he loved playing cards himself! It was at the casino that he met the love of his life, Chong Flynn, with whom he spent 18 loving years. Rick also was a gamer and especially loved playing sports games on his Playstation. He loved to cheer for the Packers and Brewers. Rick always made sure he recorded Little House on the Prairie for Chong.
Richard is survived by his partner, Chong Flynn (her daughter, Sim Flynn); 2 children, Adam (Christina) Charniak and Lisa June; 4 grandchildren: Zach, Haleigh, Caleb and Payton; a sister, Linda (Ivan) Roberts and a brother, Jim Charniak.
In accordance with Rick's wishes, no services will be held.
Rick's family would like to extend their gratitude to Unity Hospice for their loving care and compassion.
