Richard 'Dick' Alexander, 79, of Green Bay, passed away on October 16, 2023. He was born on June 29, 1944 to Okla and Grace (Lindeman) Alexander. Dick was united in marriage to Karen (Monfort) Alexander in October of 1965. They recently celebrated 58 years together.
Dick graduated from West High School in 1962. He also completed courses at NWTC throughout his career at what is now called Georgia Pacific. He was a Construction Millwright and foreman and worked there for over 50 years.
Dick's greatest joys were his daughters, his grandchildren, and his great-grandchildren. Throughout his life he enjoyed listening to the Brewers, lifting weights, bowling, and tinkering in his garage. He was a true McGyver! It seemed he could fix anything. Dick was a very kind man. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to family and strangers alike. Upon death Dick was able to donate his eyes.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents, his precious daughter Amy (Schroeder), a granddaughter Ashley Schroeder, three brothers: Gerald Heinritz, Jim Alexander, and Dale Alexander.
Dick is survived by his loving wife Karen, his caring daughter Tami (Kevin) Zellner, son-in-law Brian Schroeder, three granddaughters, Megan (Jon) Lehr, Nicole (Kyle) Bonin, and Elizabeth Schroeder. Also four great-grandchildren, Mason and Adalynn Lehr, Easton and Turner Bonin. He is further survived by other family and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 20, 2023 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, Receptions, 340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, WI.
