Rev. Kenneth Blank

December 27, 1938 — January 19, 2017

Kenneth F. Blank, a beloved husband, father, and minister, went home to be with his Lord and Saviour Thursday, January 19th, 2017, at St. Vincent's Hospital in Green Bay. A resident of Ashwaubenon, Kenneth passed away unexpectedly at the age of seventy-eight.

He was born December 27th, 1938, in West Bend, Wisconsin, to Franklin and Frieda Blank. He graduated from Kewauskum High School and was active in 4-H. He married Patricia Klein with whom he raised a family. In 1963 he received a call to ministry and left his family farm to pursue his Bachelor's degree at Pillsbury Bible College. He became an ordained minister in October 1968. In 1972, he founded Beth Haven Baptist Church in Green Bay. Over the years, he has faithfully taught and preached. In 1976, he began Beth Haven Academy.

Kenneth was known as a kind, generous, intelligent man who inspired people with his faith and hope in God. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, minister, and friend. He was serious about his work for the Lord, but he was also known for his sense of humor and amiable personality.

As a teenager and adult, Kenneth loved to play baseball. He loved to take his family to Family Camp at Northland, including the grandchildren in recent years. He was an avid Packers fan, and he enjoyed taking students to school conventions.

As a family, we would like to share a memory that took place three days before his surgery. These are Matt's words of the memory. I can't recall exactly, but it went something like this. Tony, Dad, and I were talking about the importance of taking care themselves physically. Tony said you want to make you time here on Earth last as long as possible. Then Dad said, Well, if we all knew what heaven was like, then maybe we would want to go sooner.

Ten days later, he was in heaven and we are here thinking of the glory and blessings of heaven. He is blessed.

Kenneth leaves behind his wife, Patricia (Klein) Blank; six children: Steven Blank of Green Bay; Timothy Blank of Green Bay; Christine (Mark) Heuer of Jackson; Matthew (Cordell) Blank of Green Bay; Nathan (Kristina) Blank of Janesville; and Jonathan (Sarah) Blank of Green Bay. He was the grandfather of Taylor (19), Kendra (19), McKayla (17), McKenzie (17), Allison (15), Erik (14), Natalie (12), Ara (6), Matthew Jr. (5), Gianna (5), Nevaeh (4), Eva (3), Kyrie (1), Luca (1), and Mishael (2 months). He also leaves behind three sisters: Marian Holl of Juneau, Ruth Schaumburg of Beaver Dam, and Bernice Lawless of Bell Buckle, Tennessee; many nieces and nephews; his congregation at Beth Haven Baptist Church, and many friends throughout the world.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Franklin and Frieda Blank; and his son, Douglas Blank.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until time of funeral service at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Bay City Baptist Church, 840 Bond Street in Green Bay.

The family has set up a Memorial Fund to go to Northland Camp and Conference Center in Dunbar, Wisconsin. Gifts can be sent to Attn: Kenneth Blank Memorial Fund, Beth Haven Baptist Church, 2023 S. Ridge Road, Green Bay, WI 54304.
