Ray Sell of Green Bay passed away the evening of Saturday, June 11, 2022.
The son of Edmund and Olga (Raasch) Sell of Kewaunee. He graduated from Kewaunee High School, Class of 1959.
Ray married Sandra Urban in 1961 and started his family. At 22 years of age, he opened a Standard Oil Service station in Kewaunee but after a couple of years, he sold it and moved to Green Bay. There, he worked at Hudson Sharp/FMC for over 15 years, eventually becoming a Supervisor.
Ray loved sports....to watch them and to play them! He lived his life as an athlete! He was an ambidextrous fast-pitch pitcher with multiple MVP seasons. And he could give you are run for your money in golf or bowling. If he wasn't busy with seasonal sports, you could find him at the YMCA swimming, biking, lifting weights- you name it! So much so we called him the 6 million dollar man because of all the body parts he had repaired or replaced. He was a real competitor and set the bar higher for himself each and every time he reached a goal.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dianne (Fostner) as well as his siblings, Edwin, Irene, Alvina, Marvin, and Myron.
He is survived by his first wife Sandi (Urban) of 18 years and their three children Chad (Sally Kent), Scott (Neena Sheikh) and Mimi (Chad Schroeder). Also, Dianne's son's Kiley King (Jennifer Mags-King) and Aaron (Ace) King. All together, these son's and daughters created 8 grandchildren: Nik (Natalie), Mikalyna (Avery), Natalie, Calder, Jamie, Alexis, Scott, Jr., Avery & Ady. Grandpa Ray loved the grandchildren and Grandpa Ray was loved by all and will be missed.
