Randall H. "Randy" Reed Sr.

Randall H. "Randy" Reed Sr., age 83, of Green Bay, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2024, surrounded by his beloved family. He was born in Morehead, KY, November 26, 1940, son of the late Leslie and Tevis (Butts) Reed.
Randy was a graduate of Iron River High School, Iron River, MI, Class of 1959, where he was a talented athlete and member of the Varsity Basketball Team. Randall married Sally Applin, February 16, 1963 and together they shared 53 loving years of marriage and were blessed with 3 sons before she preceded him in death, September 14, 2016. He was proud to work as a machine operator for Green Bay Packaging, retiring after many years of dedicated service.
Randy Sr. was notorious for his sweet tooth and love of snacks. He had an incredible sense of humor, a strong love of animals and enjoyed being outdoors. His outgoing personality had him making friends everywhere, even on his four hour trips to Festival Foods. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. Randall was a devoted husband, loving dad and proud grandpa. His greatest joy was spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Randall Sr. is survived by 3 sons: Rob (Vicky) Reed, Tim (Connie) Reed and Randy Reed Jr. (Amy); 7 grandchildren: Heather (Ryan), Amber (Netflix), Autumn, Shannon (Mitch), Sarah (Quinton), Kody and Nicole; 2 great-grandchildren, Reed and Wyatt; sister-in-law, Fay (the late Norman) Grahn; close friends, Mary Wall and Mark Hoffman and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Sally, step-brother, Ronnie and brother-in-law, Butch (Marge) Applin.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer-Green Bay Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, WI), Sunday, January 21, 2024 from 2 to 4 PM. A memorial service will follow at 4 PM. Please dress in your favorite t-shirt, flannel or Packer attire!
In lieu of flowers, memorials directed to Vince Lombardi Cancer Center in Randy's name are appreciated.
Randy's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the team in the ICU at Aurora BayCare Hospital for their care and compassion.
