Randall Halbrook

October 11, 1947 — April 11, 2021

Randall M. "Randy" Halbrook, 73, passed away peacefully at his home on April 11, 2021 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. He was born on October 11, 1947 in Daggett, MI, to the late Dale and Magdalene (Bromund) Halbrook. He was a 1965 graduate of Preble High School. Randy married Cynthia "Cindy" Leiterman on April 8, 1972. They were blessed with two beautiful children, Jennifer and Kyle.

Randy was a gifted photographer and spent his entire career taking photos of family and friends. He worked many years in camera retail stores for Kelley Photo and Ambrosius Studio. He also started his own business, Original Photography by Randall Halbrook, covering weddings throughout the Green Bay and Door County area.

He spent many hours on the golf course, was a member of Ducks Unlimited, a Packer backer and donated time well spent taking photos for Special Olympics.

Randy was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy, of Green Bay; one daughter, Jennifer (Adam) Buchholz and granddaughter Maeghan, of De Pere; one son, Kyle and his fiancée, Keri Miller, and granddaughter Sophie, of New Franken; two brothers, Donald (Verganna) Halbrook, of DeLeon, TX and Brian (Susan) Halbrook, of Tucson, AZ; two sisters, Barbara Halbrook, of Ingalls, MI and Debbie (Perry) Beaudoin, of Stephenson, MI; nieces and nephews.

He is further survived by one brother-in-law, Bernard (Shirley) Leiterman; five sisters-in-law: Kathy Leiterman, Karen Leiterman, Valerie Leiterman, Rochelle Olp and Regina Leiterman.

Randy was preceded in death by three brothers-in-law: John Leiterman, Norbert Leiterman, James Leiterman, and a special godson, Kyle Leiterman.
Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at St. Agnes Church (1484 Ninth St., Green Bay, WI) with the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM.

God saw that he was getting tired and a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around him and whispered "come with me". With tearful eyes we watched him suffer and saw him fade away. Although we loved him dearly we could not make him stay. His golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, he only takes the best.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay Oncology, HSHS Home Health, Unity Hospice and to our family and friends who have been so kind and caring in our time of need.
