Ralph Howard Zirbel

Ralph Zirbel, 77, of De Pere, beloved husband of Sandy (Steffens) Zirbel, departed this life on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Ralph was born on September 20, 1939 in Crivitz, son of the late Edward and Viola (Schroder) Zirbel. He was a graduate of East De Pere High School. Ralph enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served aboard the USS Vulcan. He retired in 2003 from Green Bay Drop Forge. In his spare time Ralph enjoyed playing cards, hunting, going to the cabin, and of course scratch off tickets!
He will be missed by his wife of 54 years Sandy, and their children: Kevin (Sharon) Zirbel, Kerry (Pam) Zirbel, Keith (Cindy) Zirbel, and Kris (Kyle) Bolssen. Ralph also leaves 5 grandchildren: Brittany Zirbel, Travis Zirbel, Brandi Zirbel, Austin Bolssen, and Alex Bolssen along with a sister-in-law, Ruth Zirbel. He is preceded in death by his brother William Zirbel.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 21st from 2 - 4 PM at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 340 S. MONROE AVENUE, GREEN BAY. A memorial service will follow in the funeral home at 4 PM with full Military Honors. Interment will be private. Ralph's family wishes to thank Unity Hospice for the wonderful care given to him in his final days.
