Quentin M. Roberts, Green Bay resident, passed away in the evening hours of Wednesday, September 16, 2015. He was 88.
Quentin was born in the Town of Red River, WI on September 21, 1926, a son of the late Charles and Rose (Gilson) Roberts.
He proudly served in Japan as an Army MP. Quentin was married to LaVerne (Mertens) on April 23, 1949 and together they raised three children. He worked at Liebman Packing and later for Hansen Dairy, from which he retired.
Quentin was an avid bowler and fisherman and enjoyed playing cards. His greatest love however was for his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed.
Quentin is survived by his wife, LaVerne of over 66 years, his children Patrick (Cindy) Roberts, Peggie Himmel and Patti Roberts. He also leaves his grandchildren Michael (Kirsten Miller) Himmel and their children: Kennedy, Kendall and Kendrick; Erica (Lewis) Busse and their children: Gavin, Nathan and Gretchen, Jodi Roberts and her children: Jaida, Jordyn and Blake, Erin (Adam) Hock and their children: Rachel and Noah, and his step grandchildren Aaron (Becky) Williams and their sons Mitchell and Alec, Dustin Peters and Jared (Julie) Peters as well as a Great-great granddaughter Ariel Roberts. He is further survived by his siblings Ruby (the late Jack) Schulz, Iris (the late Bernie) Seroogy and Charles (Gail) Roberts, Jr.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Gladys (Julian) Ferron, Clifford (Lillian) Roberts, Fern (Roy) VandeVoort, Doris (John) Carter, Irone (Carol) Roberts, Abby (Leroy) Lemerond and an infant sister Dora.
Friends and relatives may call Saturday, September 19, 2015 from 12 noon to 1:45 PM at the SHRINE OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD CHAPEL MAUSOLEUM (2770 Bay Settlement Road, Green Bay). A funeral service will be held at 2 PM with Ann Froelich officiating. Full military honors to follow.
