Phyllis (Zoromski/Dexter/Andreshak) Magiary, age 85, of Green Bay, passed from this life on December 8, 2017. She was born on December 23, 1931 to Alex and Emily (Maszk) Zoromski on the family farm in Galloway, WI.
Phyllis married Dale Dexter on September 2, 1950 and had 8 children with him. They lived in Elderon, WI until Dale's death in 1967. She then moved to Wausau, married and had one more child, the baby of the family, Jennifer.
Phyllis and Jennifer later moved to Green Bay where she met and married Curtis Magiary. They just celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary in November.
Phyllis devoted her life to her children and took great joy in her 17 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. For many years she was a devoted Chicago Cubs fan, rarely missing a game on WGN. She found great joy in visiting with and cooking for her many relatives and friends.
Phyllis will be sadly missed by her husband, Curtis and her children: Mark (Pam), Calvin (special friend, Jeannie Peterson), Denise (Mark) Freeman, Barry (Marie), Brian (Sandi), Perry, Ann (Kevin) Imhoff and Jennifer Andreshak (Matt Buchholz.); Curtis' children, Susan (Gary) Klarner, Sandra (Joel) Rogers, and Carol "Casey" (Tom) Carrell. She is further survived by brothers, Alois (Joyce) and Jerome (Darlene) Zoromski and sisters, Sister Mary Elrita and Judy (Richard) Lavicka and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Dexter, son, James Dexter, brothers, Robert and Ralph Zoromski and sister, Yvonne Montonati.
Visitation will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (2597 Glendale Ave., Green Bay, WI), Friday, December 15, 2017 from 9 to 11 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 AM with Fr. John Bergstadt, celebrant. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Elderon, WI at a later date. Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions has been entrusted with arrangements.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials directed to Unity Hospice in Phyllis' name are appreciated.
