Phyllis J. Buschmann, 89, Green Bay, passed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior surrounded by her family on Wednesday, April 21, 2021. She was a resident of King Veterans Home for the past four years.
She was born June 9, 1931 in Shawano to the late Archie and Grace (Pieper) Denn. She was united in marriage to Darrel Buschmann on March 8, 1947 at Corpus Christi in Sturgeon Bay. Together they raised five children. They enjoyed 63 years together until Darrel passed on January 31, 2011.
Mom's life revolved around her faith, family and friendships. She loved cooking and family get-togethers. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was always there for her family. She enjoyed bingo, bowling, and walks in the mall, as well as dining out with friends and family.
Phyllis is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Roger (Ginny) Buschmann; 3 daughters and 2 sons-in-law: Linda (Joseph) Kummerer, Terri (Jim) Sot and Pat Luedeman; son-in-law, Dan Doubek; 13 grandchildren: Tim (Laura) Luedeman, Tammy (Corey) Salm, Joey Kummerer Jr., John (fiancée, Tamara) Kummerer, Monica (Jeff) Horton, Chris Buschmann, Nick (Michelle) Morgan, Tim Morgan, Daniel (Teresa) Fraser, Amy (Zack) Yedynak, Jamie (Rick) Bramer, Megan (Ryan) Vanatta, and Abigail Doubek. She is further survived by 13 great-grandchildren: Sid (Aika) Streckenbach, Ian Streckenbach, Jack Horton, Corey Salm, Adam Salm, Austin Morgan, James Morgan, Madison Morgan, Brook Yedynak, Liz Yedynak, Levi Yedynak, Harleigh Sot, and Bellamy Vanatta; two great-great-grandchildren, Shoma and Haruto Streckenbach, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Darrel; daughter, Cindy Doubek; grandson, Dustin Morgan; son-in-law, Tim Morgan; granddaughter, Tara Stascak; son-in-law, Wayne Luedeman; 3 sisters and 3 brothers-in-law: Arlene (Grant) McKenzie, Margie (Hubert) Strauss and Betty (Howard) Moreau, as well as her in-laws: Dale & Ruth Buschmann, Robert & Ilene Buschmann, Norman & Dorleen Buschmann and Milton & Ruth Buschmann.
Private services were held by Phyllis's family. Burial was in Fort Howard Memorial Park.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the caretakers and staff at King Veteran's Home for their care and compassion.
