Peter Ghislin Vandermus

Peter Ghislin Vandermus, age 72, of Sheboygan, passed away on May 4, 2024 surrounded by his family at St Vincent Hospital.

He was born on August 25, 1951 to Russell and Dorothy (Lohr) Vandermus in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Peter grew up on the family farm with his three brothers and two sisters. He graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School in 1969. He had a love for fast cars, speeding, fishing, traveling, the casino, and playing with the grandkids.

Peter worked as a Electrical Maintenance Technician at Tecumseh for over 20 years before they closed, then went on to work at Nemak, and retired from Pace Manufacturing.

In 1992, he married the love of his life, Barbara Christman. Peter and Barb spent 21 joyous years together in the home of Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

Peter is survived by his children: Lance Vandermus, Jennifer (Patrick) Krause, and Jason Vandermus, his step-children: Michael Miller, Shannon (Dave) Sandner, Cindy Christman, and Ayla Christman, grandchildren: Mikey (Cassandra), Dylan, Ronan, step-grandchildren: Ethan, Elsie, Kisara, Dorian, Adrian, Willow, Aryza, and Izzy, great-grandchildren: Michael Jr, and Tobias, and step-great-grandchildren: Sadie, Suri, Skarlette, Kalliope, Alyra. He is further survived by two brothers; Tom and Phillip (Marcia), one sister Beth (Tony), and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barb, his parents, Russell and Dorothy, his brother, Paul, and his sister, Jane.

The family will host a Celebration of Life at a location and date to be determined.
