Peter Stoffel

July 7, 1951 — January 25, 2023

Peter "Pete" Stoffel, age 71, passed away at his home comfortably with his family by his side on January 25, 2023 following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on July 7, 1951 in Appleton the of the late Fred "Fritz" and Lorraine (Pasch) Stoffel. He was united in marriage to Judy Thomack on October 14, 1973 in Bear Creek. In his earlier years he was employed at Skelly Gas Station then later worked at American Can, James River, and Graphic Packaging retiring in 2014. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, camping, and especially loved spending time with his family. Although being a big guy he had a welcoming lap that the grandkids enjoyed snuggling on. We find comfort in knowing he is up in the happy hunting grounds.

He is survived by his wife, Judy of 49 years, two daughters: Stacey (Jeffrey) Wagner and Laura (Brad) Mathewson, four grandchildren: Autumn and Hallie Wagner, Tristan and Iris Mathewson; six siblings: Robert (Roberta) Stoffel, Paula (William) Sutter, Diane Stoffel, Steven (Mary) Stoffel, Timothy (Cathy) Stoffel, and Mary (Roger) Philippi; three sisters-in-law: Sharon (Arlyn) Wepner, Janice Bartholomew, and Dawn (Tina) Wilson; further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, father and mother-in-law, Wesley and Francis "Bonny" Thomack, brothers-in-law, Randy and John Thomack, nephew, Daniel Sutter, niece, Jessica Stoffel.
