Pearl V. Kollath, age 96, a lifelong resident of Green Bay, passed away Monday, December 24, 2018. She was born January 30, 1922 in Green Bay, daughter of the late Arthur and Adelle (Brown) Jaeger. Pearl married Louis Kollath, August 16, 1947 and they shared 59 loving years of marriage before he passed away in 2006.
Pearl graduated as valedictorian of Green Bay East High School as well as St. Mary's Nursing School. She worked at St. Mary's Hospital until she became a mom, leaving to stay home and raise her 3 sons. She returned to nursing at Woodside Lutheran Home where she retired as nursing director. Pearl was a woman of very strong faith and a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Pearl and Louis loved to travel and enjoyed vacations to Alaska and Hawaii. She was also an avid reader, golfer and Chicago Cubs fan (much to the chagrin of her 3 sons.)
Pearl is survived by her sons: Mark (Stephanie), Paul (Cynthia) and John (Cheryl) Kollath; 3 grandchildren: Nathan (Katie) Kollath, Andrew (fiancee, Nikki Klucas) Kollath and Emily (Brent) Rukamp and 3 great-grandchildren: Londyn Kollath, Aria Kollath and Henry Rukamp. She is further survived by her good nursing friend, Agnes Ullmer.
She was preceded in death by special friends: Randy and Eve Haltaufderheid and Shirley and Ed Paplham.
Visitation will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, (321 S. Madison St., Green Bay), Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 1 to 3 PM. A funeral service will follow at 3 PM. Entombment will be in Allouez Catholic Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorials directed to Grace Lutheran Church in Pearl's name are appreciated.
Pearl's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Odd Fellow Home for their many years of excellent care.
