Paula Marie Peterson

Paula Marie Peterson, 56, of Kewaunee, succumbed to the battle with cancer after 3.5 years, on September 8, 2024 with her family by her side at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers. She was born on December 9, 1967 to Carlton Evraets and Joan (McCarthy) Smola in Green Bay. Paula worked for insurance companies for many years, one of which was AIA Insurance. She also worked for Aurora BayCare on the switch board team. She was married to Randy Peterson, and their marriage was blessed with a son, Quinton. Paula loved the Halloween season, going to concerts, fishing, and enjoyed time up north having bonfires, being on the waterfront, and was famous for her cooking; every holiday she would make her delicious stuffing. Paula will always be remembered for her mother like care towards everyone she met. 

Paula is survived by her loving son, Quinton Peterson, her beloved dog, Luna, her mother, Joan Smola, her father, Carlton Evraets, three siblings: Paul Evraets, Bernie Evraets, and Mary (Jeremy) Chevalier; her step children and their children and a childhood friend, Jamie Gauthier; she is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her dear friend, Tony Bonjean; all her grandparents and aunts and uncles. 

 A visitation will be held at Newcomer Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, WI), Monday, October 7, 2024 from 5 to 7 PM. A memorial service will follow at 7 PM.

 Memorials are suggested to any brain cancer foundations.
