Paul J. "PJ" Zahorik, age 82, of Green Bay, passed away Monday, October 17, 2022. He was born April 13, 1940 in Fond du Lac, WI to the late Paul and Phyllis (La May) Zahorik and was a graduate of De Pere High School, Class of 1959.
Paul was drafted in the US Army in 1963, where he proudly served his country until his honorable discharge in 1965. He married Dorothy Depas, August 3, 1968 in Green Bay and they were blessed with 2 sons. He was also an honorary dad to many of Tony and Steve's friends. PJ was a production manager for TAPE and retired from Moore Response Marketing in 2005.
Paul was a social guy and loved hanging out at his favorite local taverns, especially Lenny's Tap. He looked forward to volunteering at their annual corn roast. He was an avid bowler and bowled at many local bowling alleys including Village Lanes, Western and Ashwaubenon Bowling Alley. He coached youth bowling in the 1980's and early 1990's. Paul loved cheering for the Brewers and Packers and attending many games. PJ was very patriotic and loved his American Flag. Family was very important to Paul and he enjoyed family reunions in Tomahawk.
Paul is survived by his sons, Tony and Steve Zahorik and 3 siblings: Patricia (Vince) Vassalo, Dick (Diane) Zahorik and Peggy Zahorik. He is further survived by a niece, Sandy Smally, great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer-Green Bay Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay), Saturday, October 29, 2022 from 9 to 11 AM. A funeral service will follow at 11 AM with full military honors.
