Paul C. Bellin, age 69, passed away at home on Thursday, October 15, 2015 following a courageous battle with cancer. His loving wife was at his side. Paul was born in Green Bay on November 4, 1945, a son of the late Henry M. and Aileen R. Bellin.
He attended local schools, and was a graduate of Green Bay East High School. Paul served his country with honor for four years in the US Navy. He was stationed in Florida, Hawaii and Guam and rose to the rank of E-5 prior to his discharge in 1970. He was awarded numerous medals and citations and was a true patriot. Paul was married to Mary Kay (Zehms) and together they raised two children.
Paul was employed as a city clerk treasurer for Oconto Falls and later for Sturgeon Bay. In his free time, Paul enjoyed golf and was also a train enthusiast.
Paul is survived by his wife, Mary Kay, of over 45 years, his daughter Amy (Shane) Garland and his son Bart (Karrie) Bellin; his grandchildren: Paul, Olivia, Carter, Mason, Stella and Karson. He is further survived by his siblings: Marilyn, Mike (Patsy) Bellin and Gretchen Bellin, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial gathering will take place at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, (340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay) on Monday, October 19, 2015 from 4 to 6:45 PM. A memorial service with full military honors will follow at 7 PM with the Reverend John H. Harper officiating. Final rest will be private.
