Patrick (Pat) Maltby, age 66, died on June 23, 2019. He was born on Nov. 15, 1952 to Eugene Scott "Scoot" Maltby and Josephine Percival (Garvey) Maltby in Green Bay, WI. Pat was a man of brilliant humor, which his family and friends will miss.
A skilled upholsterer, Pat's work is displayed in many homes and jet interiors. From his shop, Superior Discount Upholstery and working at KC Aviation (Gulfstream), Pat had the opportunity to continuously improve his upholstery craftsmanship. Because Pat was willing to help at a moments notice, he also was able to have fun with his work. Some of the fun jobs include: Lambeau Field Grounds Crew (nice yardage stripes), a cab driver, a roadie for many bands (that played the music he liked), and as Production Crew for hundreds of locally filmed television commercials for the NFL, Nike, several national broadcasters, and in a Hollywood movie.
Pat's father (Scoot), older brother Mike, and many of his friends were (or still are) musicians. Pat's love of music, especially the blues, helped him develop his musical talents that he shared with his family. In addition to music, Pat was an avid reader, a vivid storyteller, an excellent cook and devoted to his grandchildren.
Pat's survivors include Randee Jean (Stache), his wife of forty-five years; two daughters: Leah Monette Maltby Fuss (Eric) and their children; Scarlett and Woodrow; Erika Catherine Shefchik (Joseph) and their children Chas, Maxwell and Edith. Pat is also survived by his younger brother, Joe; brothers-in-law; Michael (Connie) and Patrick (Barb) Stache; nephews; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and older brother Michael.
Friends may call between 4:00pm - 7:00pm, Thursday, July 11, 2019, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S Monroe St, Green Bay.
