Patrick Thomas Dashnier

Patrick "Pat" Dashnier, age 75, of Dunbar, WI, passed away peacefully with family by his side after a short illness on Friday, December 6, 2024. Pat was born and raised in Green Bay. He graduated from West High School in 1968. He worked at Green Bay Packaging, Folding Carton Division for 36 years until he retired in 2015. He also served as Union President for several years.

Patrick married Deborah "Debbi" Dow on March 22, 1975. They had 49 wonderful years together.

After retirement, they moved up north, where Pat did an amazing job adding and building an addition, making the cottage into their home. He loved building and doing woodworking. He volunteered and became Trail Boss for Dun Good Riders ATV / Snowmobile Club in Dunbar, WI until 2022.

Pat was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed spending time fishing and hunting with his family and friends. He and Debbi enjoyed traveling through their years together.

He is survived by his wife, Debbi; sons, Jeremy (Julie) Dashnier and Shawn Dashnier. Pat was a very proud grandpa of his 2 grandchildren, Tara (Matt) Manske of South Carolina and Tyler Dashnier; siblings: Mike (Barb) Dashnier, Peggy Fonder, and Jerome "Tim" (Judy) Dashnier; sister-in-law, Patricia Hagerty; cousins, Don (Mary) Dashnier, and Steve (Mary) Dashnier. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Genevieve Dashnier; in-laws, Richard Sr. and Marion Dow; a sister, Kitty Auriemma; 5 brothers-in-law: John Auriemma, Scott Hagerty, Robert Dow, Jim Fonder and Richard Jr.; nieces, Tina Dashnier and Dawn Fonder.

Visitation will be held at Newcomer Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, WI), Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 3 to 7. A memorial service will follow at 7 PM, with Fr. Tyler, officiant. 

The family would like to thank Eva Buss, Diana Schultz, Jeff Thielen, Gary and Darcie Powell and Cheryl Jestin for their help and support. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.
