Patricia Lea Lawton

Patricia Lea Lawton, age 69, of Kewaunee, passed away on August 18, 2024 surrounded by her family. 

She was born on November 30, 1954 to William and Sonia Frederick in Madison, Wisconsin. Patti was one of twelve children, and unfortunately the family suffered the loss of William and Sonia, but the siblings remained close.

Patti worked as a C.N.A. for many years throughout her life, and she took working at Unity Hospice as an honor. There she could make sure everyone was loved, respected and treated with dignity. 

She was always incredibly proud of her children and their accomplishments, but the highlight of her day was her grandchildren. They loved to camp, walk the beach in search of sea glass, bake cookies and banana bread, and enjoy games together. 

Patricia is survived by her loving children: Dale (Karla) Lawton, Jr., and Jordan (Branden) Leischow, 3 grandchildren: Madison, Liam, and Levi. Also, an honorary daughter: Stacy (Dan) VanCaster and their children: Dalton and Ella. She is also survived by her siblings: Barbara Merkel, John (Laura) Frederick, JoAnn (Eddie) Francis, Sue (Gordy) Beal, Rick Frederick, Jim (Vicky) Frederick, and David Frederick, and a sister-in-law: Renee Frederick. As well as her god-child, Jennifer (Kevin) Codr, and her closest friend, Nancy (Neil) Drummy. Patricia is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She is preceded in death by her son, Billy Joe, her parents, Bill & Sonia Frederick, her foster mother, Toby Emmer, 4 siblings, Bill Frederick, Caroline Frederick, Colleen Evans Carter and Juanita Behm. And she is preceded by her husband, Dale Sr.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 25th, at 12:00 pm, at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church (E5221 Church Rd, Algoma, WI 54201).
