"Duchess" Pamela Suzanne Schaal, 66, of Green Bay, Wisconsin, passed away Monday, December 29, 2014, surrounded by friends and family.
She was born November 23, 1948, in Tacoma, Washington to Maurice and Dorothy (Glover) Monson. Duchess married William Schaal on September 9, 1967. Together, they raised two children.
Duchess graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay in 1998, and pursued a career with her business, Palette to Palate. Over the years, she continued sharing her many passions, including painting, photography, and cooking. Duchess loved meeting and spending time with members of her community, hosting and attending art gallery shows, and healing many with therapy and company. She was a great storyteller, as well as accomplished artist and supporter of the arts, and lived her life helping those around her.
Duchess will be missed by her son, Bryan (Rowan) Schaal; father of her children, William Schaal; three brothers and one sister; and many friends and acquaintances.
Duchess was preceded in death by her parents; son, Chad; and fiancé, Peter.
Visitation will be held from 10:00am until 11:45pm on Saturday, January 10, 2015, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay. Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 noon at the funeral home.
