Oliver D. Davis, 93, Green Bay, passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2013.
He was born on February 17, 1919 in Green Bay to the late Norman & Minnie Davis.
Oliver graduated from East High School.
He loved Ham Radio, his call letters were W9WLZ.
As a young man he built his own radio equipment, he would repair radio equipment in his parent's basement.
Oliver belonged to the Green Bay Mike & Key Club.
When Oliver was younger he worked part time as a projectionist for the local theaters. He started his own Audio Visual Company that he ran for 66 years. He also worked for Gabe's Appliance Store.
Survivors include his sister, Millicent (Myron)Tursky; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jeanette (Elmer) Mangel; brothers, Bernard (Stella) Davis and Randall Davis who was killed in action during WWII.
Friends may call from 10:00am until 11:00am on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave. Green Bay. A funeral Service will take place at 11:00am Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Richard Dugan for his help over the past few years, transporting Oliver. Also, Oliver's neighbors were very helpful with caring for his cat and bringing Oliver food.
