Norma J. (Woulf) O'Connell, 87, Green Bay, passed away at her home on Saturday, February 23, 2013.
She was born on June 1, 1925 to the late Fred & Phoebe Woulf in Coleman, WI.
Norma graduated from East High School in 1944. During WWII she received training at Wright- Patterson Air Force Base to work on radios, keeping our soldiers safe.
She loved the outdoors; she enjoyed hunting and spending time outdoors, watching birds, bowling, playing cards, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She worked many years for Red Owl Food Store in the meat department.
Norma is a member of the VFW post #10224 in Ashwaubenon.
She was married to James O'Connell her loving husband of 55 years. He preceded her in death on November 13, 2002.
Survivors include daughter, Allie O'Connell; granddaughter, Christie O'Connell of New Orleans, LA; three great grandchildren, Haley, Quinn, and McKenna; and brother-in-law, Dan (Judy) O'Connell; and many nieces and nephews, especially Kathi (Michael) Hintz.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; siblings, Jack Woulf and Patricia O'Connell; in-laws, Katherine (Ed) Brozyna, Bill (Gloria) O'Connell, Peggy Roznowski, Patrick (Jay) O'Connell, Bud O'Connell, Mary Alice Bongers, Tom O'Connell and John (Patricia) O'Connell.
Friends may gather at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum at 2:00pm, Friday, March 1, 2013 for a prayer service. Entombment will follow. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
