Norita M. "Rita" Greatens

Norita "Rita" M. Greatens, 88, of Green Bay, passed away on February 17, 2024 at Woodside Lutheran Home. She was born on June 10, 1935 to Antone and Gertude (Huempfner) Gajewski in Green Bay, WI. On November 18, 1957, she married Donald Greatens. Rita worked as a Salesperson for Shopko for 29 years. She was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Parish. Rita and Don were involved with the Rawhide Riders, and the Bellevue Snow Diamonds. She was an avid card player and treasured the time she spent with her family.

Rita is survived by her loving son, John (Ruth) Greatens, two grandchildren: Andi (Steve) Foley and Zach (Diane) Vierck and their daughter: Elle. She is further survived by her brother, Clark (Ann) Gajeski; many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Donald, and her many brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 24, 2024, at St. Matthew Catholic Parish, 130 St. Matthews Street, Green Bay; from 9:30 am until 11:00 am, with Mass continuing at 11:00 am with Father Bob Kabat officiating.

Private Entombment will take place at the Allouez Catholic Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to your favorite charity.
