As most friends and neighbors know, Nicholas Charles Lison has passed away from this earth and returned to his ascended family. He fought with an unwavering strength of heart and resilience of spirit, but died in the company of loved ones on Thursday, June 22nd, 2023, of a rare and aggressive throat cancer.
Nick was born on April 30th, 1954, to Dick and Shirley (Wheeler) Lison in Green Bay, WI. He was a loyal friend to all, a compassionate and generous-spirited brother and uncle, a deeply caring and incredibly loving father and known to give all he had to anyone in need without expecting anything in return. His smile and charming demeanor disarmed and enchanted even the most guarded soul, won over the hearts of many and was unmatched by most. Nick possessed a blinding lightness, a carefree child-like playfulness and an easily lovable sense of humor that could cradle a fragile moment in laughter and lift the weight of any heavy heart.
He will be dearly missed and is survived by his son, Jacob Lison; sisters Chris Rosera, Stacey (Tom) Klimek, Angie (Steve) Jack, Leah (Bob) Block, and Claudia (Schneider) Lison; sisters-in-law, Merry Lee Lison and Stacy Lison; as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, cousins and an unbelievably wide community of friends.
Nicholas was preceded in death by his parents, Dick and Shirley Lison; his brothers, Matt and Scott; and brothers-in-law, Paul Rosera and Scott Schneider.
A memorial fund has been established in Nick's name.
Nick's family expresses their profound gratitude to the staff of Bellin Hospital for their kind and compassionate care.
