Nicholas (Jake) Knoerzer, age 40, passed away peacefully on May 18th with his family by his side.
Jake was born August 21, 1983, in Oconto Falls. He attended St. Anthony’s Grade School and graduated from Oconto Falls High School, class of 2002. Jake enjoyed NASCAR, hunting, grilling and smoking food that he shared with family and friends, college football, sitting around the campfire, and golfing with his best friends, Justin Schaal and Dustin Koebach. For the past 13 years he was employed by UNFI (SuperValu) in Green Bay. He was a proud member of the Oconto Falls Fire Department for the past 16 years.
He is survived by his best friend and loving wife, Alicia, his two children whom he loved dearly, Wyatt and Emma Knoerzer, his parents, Greg (Karen) Knoerzer, Oconto Falls, and Kathy (Clint) Henne, Abrams; his siblings Jessica (John) Kurowski, Green Bay and Jared (Danielle) Henne, Little Suamico, stepbrother Jon Boulanger, Green Bay, and step sister Amanda (Broc) Watzka, Abrams.
Also surviving is his God child, Will Kurowski, and his special nieces and nephews, Taylor and Hattie Kurowski; and Payton and Halle Henne. He will be missed by his beloved grandmother, Arleen Messenger, whom he spent a lot of time with over the years. And last but certainly not least, Jake’s fur-babies, Buck and Goose, who will be lost without him.
He is further survived by Alicia’s daughters Jaydah and Emma, a special sister-in-law, Denisha, and her two children Maverick and Ember.
He was blessed with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ralph and Josephine Knoerzer, and Jim Messenger.
Per Jake’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. A celebration of life will be held in the future.
